National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction(NCDR) and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee(IIT Roorkee) on April 10, 2023. This MoU aims to develop scientific and academic cooperation and scientific research to promote relations and mutual understanding between NCDR and the Centre of Excellence in Disaster Mitigation and Management (CoEDMM) of IIT Roorkee.

The key objective of the MoU is mutually developing technology solutions to natural hazards, including earthquakes, landslides, floods, debris flow, and compound disasters. 

After the signing ceremony, Prof. Yih-Min Wu, Advisor of NCDR Earthquake and Man-made Disasters Division shared the experience of inventing P-Alert system and the earthquake risk reduction in Taiwan.
